Just reading the membership form and need to stick up an "IR Number" sign.
Does anyone know what size it should be? Can't find Parakart Handbook page 5 section 5

JP

If you mean buggy numberplates here is the official requirements for them.

Identification numbers must be at least 14 cm high, 5 cm across and 2 cm thick.
There must be at least 1cm of white area around the number / letters before any additional patterns or colours are added.
Both letters and numbers must be of a non-script font (e ;g ; Helvetica) and letters must be all capitals.

Hope this helps

Mark,
That's exactly what I'm looking, thanks!
Do you know if just one sign is adequate?

You need to ask Kev & the guys about that.

Benone did required a number displayed to identify anyone for reporting to IPKSA but that could have changed.
As for other beaches, I have no idea.
I would think it is good practice to have your number displayed at all times.

racing has a requierment of 3 numbers on the buggy,

Art. 5. Identification numbers

Identification numbers are to be mounted on each side and on the rear of the Parakart, side numbers must be mounted vertically and all numbers plates must be clearly visible. The mount for identification must be constructed from a flat solid material. Identification must be mounted on a white background. Identification numbers must be at least 14 cm high, 5 cm across and 2 cm thick. Both letters and numbers must be of a non-script font (e ;g ; Helvetica) and letters must be all capitals. The identificaiton letter for the pilots’ Country must immediately precede the numbers. Numbers must not touch and there must be a minimum 1 cm border between the identification and any additional decals or decoration

full class 8 rules are found here on the fisly site

http://www.fisly.org/index.php?id=2

we consider it best practice for all ipksa members to display plates at all time for several reasons, it lets people know that you are registered with the ipksa and hence insured, should anything happen good or bad you can be identified (ask bob what happens when ir27 was seen misbehaving on benone) it will also allow other members to see who is out on the beach when they arrive
