Since I got my quick release system sorted, I want to do away with the knots on either end of my strop i.e. were is actually ties onto the handles.

Question, any reason why I can't use a single lenght of 6mm rope for leaders and strop and just secured inside the handles as normal. I can't see any reason why it should be an issue but you "wiser heads" out there might tell me otherwise.

absolutely no problems with that arrangement at all, other than its very awkward to actually tie the knot and the re thread the handle.
i tried it with a few ozone handles (the neoprene covered ones)and it works well other than a bit of freying where the lines pass thru the handle.

the later ozone handles have spliced loops on the back of the handles and and on the strop so u can link them in a reef knot type arrangement which i prefer. i have a fid to splice the braid that ozone use and have shortened the strops to suit
